Apparently not.
Got a mail from the person who made that Av1d entry–yeah, he was just joking. It’s kinda a shame because it’d be cool to have a secret contest; though it’s kinda neat for me to see someone doing that, for ego reasons.
Ironically I had an idea for a secret contest recently. I’ll try to get that together.

Well, that certainly alters the humor potential. Now I have to go change my vote for that av1d.

I just can’t believe I spent the better part of two days trying to find anagrams for TRAPEZOIDAL INCLINATION and HEGEMONIC ALABASTER (separate and together). I knew that if it was Spinn doing it, it wouldn’t be solvable just by running it through an online anagram maker. Here are some of the false-starts I got:
SECRET
CONTEST
MONA LISA (from noddin)
RED ZONE CAPTION
PARACENTRIC (another type of key; not the kind in the pic, but Spinn’s human too, so they tell me)
PRESENTATION (Google image searching on “Taylor” and “skeleton key” came up with the exact key in the picture, sold in a fancy box and labelled as a “presentation key”)
I GET THE CRAP DONE
…and when it occurred to me that the answer must contain instructions on what to do to win the contest:
SEND EMAIL TO
SEARCH BLOG (betcha wondered why someone was searching your blog for “manatee”)
The things I will do to avoid doing any actual work.

Eek. Sorry.
I thought it was jokey ha ha Spinn couldn’t possibly have the site down because he’s running a secret contest, right?
Turns out that I’m just dumb.

Nah, I was actually thinking weeks ago that there might be a contest going on, but I couldn’t find anything that looked like a starting point. So when noddinoff pointed out the av1d entry, I was off like a shot. It was a fun exercise, if a futile one.

I suck at these secret contests.
I don’t waste anywhere near enough time at work for you guys.
