Why? Okay, WHY.

I know I’ve asked this question before, but why, O Lord, does anybody pay attention to this woman?

Media Matters - Coulter on Sen. Chafee: “They Shot the Wrong Lincoln”

Don’t answer that question. Answer this one: is there an equivalent loony for the Left? Someone who regularly says in interviews that conservative politicians should be killed? I wanna know how a “liberal-controlled media” could allow Coulter to continue. And you couldn’t even say “she’s part of the Liberal agenda by showing how ridiculous the Right is” at this point. Big corporations aren’t that subtle. If the Left had control of the media, she’d be a flight attendant, at best.

Wow. I knew she was nuttier than squirrel shit, but I did not know she openly speaks, or “alludes to”, the killing of those who oppose her. That’s rather alarming, I don’t even have anything to follow that with. Wow. What a fucktard.

Ted Rall ran a contest asking people to show evidence of lefties threatening violence against the right. He did get a few valid responses, but they were all random commenters on blogs - several orders of magnitude less famous than Coulter. There was that professor who said words to the effect of “anybody who attacks the Pentagon has my support”…but again, random yahoo famous only for his idiocy.

The really entertaining thing about this is that Chafee is a Republican, and theocon Laffey’s victory in the primary would neatly assure a Democratic senate pickup in deep-blue Rhode Island. Suppose this only gives more support to the “sabotage” theory, though…

“Real Time with Bill Maher” is back in production, on which Maher has often had Coulter as a guest. Last season, however, she only appeared via satellite from, as Maher put it, “an undisclosed location.”

I’ll be disappointed if Maher invites her back this season for anything other than open derision.
