Actual SpinnWebe news! amusing.org

I got amusing.org working again; it’s updating Monday to Saturday. And, since I’m planning on having SW update notifications handled via RSS feeds, I’ve set it up with its own:

http://www.amusing.org/feed.php

And! there’s a separate metafeed on spinnwebe.com that combines Scribs and a.o updates. The neater part about this is that I made it a general SW-feed-generation thing, that I’ll be able to use for the site in general.

18mph in a 10mph zone

Today, as I was biking to work, I passed a couple cops on bikes. I mean I completely blew past them.

I was kinda amused that I felt like I was gonna get in trouble.

Series of photographs, including odd incremental closeups, for some reason. But whatever, there’s a specific picture that is the turning point from “ick” to “God has abandoned us”. See if you can guess which it is.

Holy God

What’s today, the 6th? Yeah, this is the coolest thing I’ve seen this month.

Every time I try to describe it, my words make it sound lame. Better if you just watch. It’s a music video by OK Go.

Big Brother/Will Ferrell crossover

Debb’s been following Big Brother, including the online updates where people who watch the realtime feeds post what’s going on. This week they had some competition where the prize was getting to see Talladega Nights, the new Will Ferrell movie. This is an obvious marketing thing to get some exposure for the movie, of course.

According to the feeds, they came out of the viewing room and were bitching that it sucked. And these are people that are starved for any sort of external entertainment at this point, I’m sure. One of the people, I think the one who was bitching about it the most, said “okay, I’m gonna go lie now!” as she went into the diary room to give her sound bites.

Sure enough, when the show aired, they played a clip of her saying “The movie was GREAT!”

Hey, speaking of music

I did the intro music for Bad Gods today.
