Awesome video. What is this an ad campaign for? It’s brilliant.

Plus, what a cute little tune! It’s so catchy and chirpy and WORMS IN MY BRAIN GET THEM OUT

In case anyone was wondering, these are Japanese children’s show “Pitagorasuichi” on NHK Tokyo (that’s the little ditty they sing at the end and it’s also what appears in kana as the conclusion of each device.

In translation it’s “Pythagoras Switch” and it’s quite an entertaining little science show. A loose translation from their website states, ” ‘Pythagoras Switch’ wants to help kids have that moment of A-HA! We want to raise thinking about thinking, to flip that epiphany switch in every child.” They talk about some pretty heady topics – and get this – aimed at 4 to 6year olds!!

In case you’re wondering why the Japanese kids are beating the snot out of our kids in the job market, our big deal news for the 4 to 6 yearold set this week was a new Tickle Me Elmo. Bleahh!

While our teen agers are trying to kill enough homies to make it to the next level on Grand Theft Auto, the average Japanese student is in after school cram lessons so he can PRODUCE the next Grand Theft Auto…
