If I'm on a role, no matter how lame, I don't want to scroll for it. I don't think quality will magically go up if you hide the entry box...mine won't anyway. If the new captions are at the top then I don't have to read down to far to see the new ones anyway. Why make me scroll for the heck of it? Personally, I'd like navigation and caption entry below the picture and the scrolling entries to the right. I think that would let me make the most out of the limited verticle height on the laptop.
