Heck - one reason the Repubs got bitchslapped in the last election was because of the constant ethics charges against them. And now people are going to see the Dems do the same thing. If I were a cynic, I'd say the worst case scenario is that there will be a day when only the extremists come out to vote. If I had to decide between this sort of corruption, or the <a href="http://impeachgonzales.com/" rel="nofollow">justice-obstructing</a>, <a href="http://www.tpmmuckraker.com/archives/003262.php" rel="nofollow">cesspool-wallowing</a>, <a href="http://www.crooksandliars.com/2007/05/21/fmr-gop-state-senator-arrested-for-child-rape-molestation-of-pages/" rel="nofollow">child-molesting</a> type, I'd probably take the former. I mean, yeah, the Democrats have problems. I don't know this, but weren't there periods where they held all three branches of government in the last 40 years as well? And the corruption was nothing, <i>nothing</i> like what we've seen uncovered in the last couple years. I think we'll see voter apathy if there are those who try to push "all politicians are the same" to excuse Republican behavior in the last five years.
