I know it’s not much, but I got the A1/IADL archives functional, and you can currently see them here.

Really Spinn, I don’t see any reason not to just use the old format. Why bother with a redesign? I always liked the original layout.

Eh, it’s not about the layout, I’m changing the way editing works.

Man, I don’t know how long it’s been back up, but I’ve wasted too much time already going through the old captions. Thank you!

Yeah, don’t go. Afterwards, you’d find yourself in one of zwit’s photo submittions.

I dreamed that you produced a series of television commercials to promote the upcoming return of A1-AAA.

They involved people in the elevator of Spinnwebe Corporate Headquarters.

    It was terrifying.

“Man, I missed these so damn much. Now I just need to learn how to be funny.”

That’s OK - so does Spinn….(wondering when this turned into the Charlie Rose show)

    Man, looking back at those…

If those were the ones of mine that were accepted, I’d hate to see the ones that were knocked back.

I’m just sayin’…this was one of those rare refuges from all the bickering, cacophony of politics and current events. It was a place I used to go to cheer up and have an unadulterated belly-laugh from A1-AAA captions and Scribs. They were truly one of your greatest gifts to the masses.

And now they’re gone, and every week that goes by makes me worry that instead of spreading humor, you’re going to try to become a Drudge or a Wonkette or one of the other pseudonymic talking heads instead of what you are so damn good at; namely creating and fostering and incubating really good humor.

THAT’S what the hell that was for. I miss the old Spinnwebe. And from the looks of the replies on the forums (that you pay no attention to ) I’m not the only one. I’m not invalidating your blog, it’s just that there are so many other political blogs out there - both satirical and factual - that this is becoming just one more. Your last post was about Joe Lieberman for god sake! Even LIEBERMAN doesn’t read blogs about Joe Lieberman!!

Now, arcane references to 8-bit games and questionable sexuality comments to weird pictures and games …THAT’S original and unique. Please come back, we miss you.

Oh. Well, the blog’s not a replacement, I just need somewhere to write something public occasionally. I’m not trying to become anything popular with it, becuase it’ll never hit a level of traffic that will make me happy, so. I’m no good at building a media empire, so don’t think I have any real blogger aspirations there.

I appreciate this reply more than the one-off insult, anyway.

The Bush video was sad, maybe we could caption it…

Yeah, Spinn, listen to subdude — nobody cares about you as a person, we all just want you to be our jester, giggling and cavorting about with only a superficial level of intellectual intimacy between us. Go have opinions on your OWN time, slacker! Your website is no place for exhibiting your thoughts or perspectives.

Yeah, Crowley’s got the right idea. After all, who wants to do something entertaining when we could read yet another blog that we could just write “Bush Sucks” on a Post-It and stick to our monitor and get the same message?
