a.o works!

Yay! Works so well, apparently, that I sifted 97 good entries out of about 1400 last night, which the program tells me is good for updates until June 27.

The last bit was whether the automated updating was working, and since this morning has given us Ruth “The Master” Bader-Ginsburg, I suppose so.

The RSS feed still seems a bit wonky (my last Google Reader entry is from Feb 16). Nevertheless, kudos for keeping it going.

Can this flurry of activity be seen as a positive change for the future of this dear website? Perhaps even a return to a more traditional format and wide array of toys, gizmos, and doodads?

You, sir, have arisen hopes within mine own person. Do not cruelly cast aside my delicate countenance to the harsh bareness of this interconnected series of tubes.

fancy: yeah, Kyol pointed out to me that the rss feed was busted. I fixed it in the afternoon (after you posted), so try again.

Also added an “updates until” tag so you can see whether I’m slacking. Though I went through my entire submission backlog, so hopefully there’ll be new entries before September.

Hm, come to think of it, I gotta rework the illustration interface, too. That’s potentially the more fun part for me, I should make it work better.

What’s the backlog like on the illustrations?

(I still remember the crude MS-Paint I did for ‘no doorknobs in the Corridors of the Damned’)

FYI: The “Dance Dance Immolation” entry a few weeks back is an Achievement in the game Team Fortress II.

Possible bug: clicking on the “previous illustration” arrow from the front page takes me to the March 6/7/9 page, which does not appear to have any illustrations.
