My new podcast-ish thingy!
It’s not fully together, but enough so, I think:

I’m going to wish I integrated that blog with this one, the same way I did with Scribs, I just know it.

Thanks, Awesomeman! And then there should be a sound effect here, like a whoosh or something, to symbolize your going off to fulfill your duty of telling other people they’re awesome.

(Sorry about replying in the wrong thread, but I’m not on Facebook and couldn’t reply in the right one.)
RE: Result!
According to the Dictionary of Contemporary Slang (A&C Black, 2007): “The term originated in football jargon where to ‘get a result’ means not to lose. Since 2000 it has often been used as an exclamation of delight, surprise and/or triumph.”
The New Partridge Dictionary of Slang and Unconventional English (Routledge, 2006) traces the original football usage to 1981 where it referred to “the winning score in a sporting contest; a victory in any sport”.
My guess is that a Brit yelling “Result!” would be like an American yelling “Score!”

OH, well! Thank you! Go look at the post as it exists on facebook to see some guy needlessly giving me trouble over the impossibility of ever finding an answer to that.

p.s.: I took a look at your home page and knew I’d be no more than two clicks away from zompist.com

So that’s what you sound like…
Why am I listening? ‘Cause I’ve been visiting the place since it was called Spiderweb.
What kind of mic are you using?
May 9th, 2010 12:58
It’s a Behringer condenser mic…think it was like 50 bucks, so for the price I’m pretty happy with it. If I keep doing these I think I might get a little foam box/crate for it for better sound masking, though that’d be impractical for when I want to talk and pace, so dunno.

It’s interesting – your speaking voice isn’t quite what I expected based on your singing voice.
(On that subject, sing more!)
